PANO – The Vietnam Youth Federation’s Central Committee (VYFCC), in association with the Ministry of Education and Training, Thien Long Group, on November 12, held a program titled “Share with teachers from islands”, in presence of Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai.

The program honored 42 outstanding teachers working on islands nationwide, including the oldest teacher, Phan Hong An at Phuoc The Secondary School (Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province), who was born in 1962 and worked on islands for 26 years; and teacher Nguyen Thi Hoi at Ban Sen Secondary School (Van Don district, Quang Ninh province), who was born in 1966 and worked as a teacher for 29 years and 7 months.

On behalf of the Party and the State, Mai praised the contributions of the teachers working in the island districts and island communes nationwide. She affirmed that the Party and the State always attach much importance to the cause of education and training and give priority to policies for remote and disadvantaged areas, border areas and islands.
The honored teachers are examples of people with great efforts to overcome difficulties and successfully complete their tasks. They are the beautiful flowers in the garden “Good people, good deeds” of the national education sector.
On this occasion, the honored teachers received certificates of merit and medals of the federation and savings books, worth VND 10 million each.
