Artist Ha Tri Hieu kicks off AIA Vietnam Eye satellite exhibitions

(CPV) – As a part of AIA Vietnam Eye project to celebrate Vietnamese contemporary art, the first satellite exhibition kicks off on November 19th at nest by AIA in Hanoi.
This is the opening for a series of events which will combine artist presentations and educational workshops for children and families. There will be one artist introduced in each of the 10 satellite exhibitions, which will take place at nest by AIA, the flagship customer and event space of AIA in Vietnam.
The first satellite exhibition is curated by Tran Luong and will showcase the artwork of Ha Tri Hieu, both of them are members of Hanoi’s “Gang of Five”, the first group of young artists to gain international renown after Vietnam opened up in the late 1980s.

Ha Tri Hieu termless inspiration comes from the rural life in Vietnam, his poetic, expressionist paintings highlight the beauty and simplicity of Vietnamese countryside. Born in Hanoi in 1959, he is deeply impressed by his childhood memories and remembrances about the sceneries and people around.

Following the exhibition in the morning, nest by AIA also hosted an art education session for children in the afternoon. Facilitated by teachers from Apollo English Center, it was an English language workshop for children, using art and creativity as a medium for connecting.
