Border troops rescue distressed fishing boat

PANO – At 9pm on November 11, a ship of Border Flotilla 2 under the Border Guard Command of Binh Dinh province successfully towed ashore a fishing boat numbered BD 95387TS with 5 fishermen on board.

The fishing boat, captained by Nguyen Hoang Chi from Tam Quan Bac commune, Hoai Nhon district, Binh Dinh province, went adrift after the engine failure while fishing at 130.41ᵒ north and 109.033ᵒ east, and sent a mayday signal at noon, November 11.
After received the signal, the command sent a ship and 10 troops to the scene to rescue the troubled boat. At 2:50pm the same day, the ship approached the distressed boat and then towed it with all fishermen ashore safely.
