Vietnam Talent Awards honors winners

PANO – The awarding ceremony of the Vietnam Talent Awards 2016 was held on November 19 in Hanoi in the presence of President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan and other important figures.
After strict selection rounds, the Vietnam Talent Awards found winners in different fields. Accordingly, in the field of information technology and mobile phone applications, the jury chose two first prizes, namely the “Monkey Junior” mobile application by Early Start JSC and the “SMCC social network language analysis and interaction management system” by INFORE. Each of the first prizes is worth VND 100 million.

Apart from the first prizes, in the information technology field, two second prizes worth VND 50 million each, two third prizes worth VND 30 million each, two consolation prizes worth VND 15 million each and a Start-up prospect prize worth VND 15 million.
The first prize in the medical field was presented to the project “Application of stem cells to treatment of blood-related diseases” by 13 researchers ledby chief researcher Nguyen Anh Tri, Head of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. The work “Research and application of one-hole and natural-hole laparoscopic surgery to large intestine and rectum cancer treatment” by researchers of Hue Central Hospital found the second place.
In the science and technology field, the first prize went to a work on the automatic production line of cans, which increases the capacity of the line to 50,000 cans per hour. The author is Tran Van Tra of Huong Sen group.
The Vietnam Talent Awards was initiated by the Vietnam Study Promotion Association and co-organized and sponsored by Dantri Newspaper and the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications (VNPT). 2016 is the 12th year that the Vietnam Talent Awards has been held, leaving the impression of youth, creativity, confidence and competitiveness of start-up businesses.
