Military factory’s youth union organization makes hundreds of initiatives

The impressive figures were revealed at the 15th Congress of the Factory’s Youth Union Organization for the 2012-2017 term.
 Overview of the Congress
Over the past five years, the organization has been active in various movements, including the movement “Youths of the General Department of Defense Industry are vanguards and innovative to build and develop the defense industry sector in the new period”. Moreover, youth union members have donated thousands of working days to public welfare activities and carried out nearly 200 youth projects, benefiting about VND 3 billion per year to the factory.
Furthermore, it has effectively implemented the model “An innovative idea per week” and maintained young scientific and technological teams.
In the past five years, 62 youths have been admitted to the Party and almost all grassroots Youth Union organizations of the factory have been recognized as strong.
Attentively, the whole Youth Union organization of the factory tightened its ties with local Youth Union organizations, presented gifts to needy people, launched “Voluntary summer campaign”, “Youths’ month”, teamed with other units to carry out the “VND100 house” project, offered clothing and New Year gifts to students and people in Muong Kim commune, Than Uyen district, Lai Chau province and presented a projector to locals in Pa Lau commune, Tran Tau district, Yen Bai province.
At the congress, delegates discussed missions for the 2017-2022 tenure with a focus on four youth programs of boosting political and ideological education for Youth Union members; enhancing the vanguard and innovative movement to fulfill political tasks and to build a comprehensively strong unit; strengthening the Youth Union organization; and promoting military-civilian ties.
The Congress elected a new Executive Committee and selected outstanding delegates to attend the 8th Congress of the General Department of Defense Industry’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Organization.
